  8. Information on the installation:
  9.  
  10.         If you have problems to install from diskette you can also 
  11.         copy them into a directory on your hard disk.Then, assign a 
  12.         drive letter to this directory with the SUBST command. Please 
  13.         refer to the MS DOS manual.
  14.  
  15.         If you installed a Windows network version, there may occur 
  16.         problems resulting from the configuration. The miro software 
  17.         has to be installed at the work place. The installation program 
  18.         has to be able to copy drivers, applications, and configuration 
  19.         files to the local Windows directory of the computer at the 
  20.         work place. In addition, it is neccesary that the local files 
  21.         SYSTEM.INI, WIN.INI, CONTROL.INI and MWINTOOL.GRP can be
  22.         created/overwritten. With the help of the monitor-select-
  23.         program each work place is adapted to its individual equipment 
  24.         by entering specific data in the the *.INI files mentioned 
  25.         above.

  27.         If you exchange your old graphics board by a miroCRYSTAL 
  28.         graphics board or if you exchange one miro board by the other, 
  29.         you should reconfigure Windows for VGA. In doing so, you avoid 
  30.         that a wrong driver runs on your new graphics board when 
  31.         starting Windows and that your system crashes. Install the 
  32.         driver for the new board in the VGA mode.

  35. Installation under Norton Desktop:
  36.  
  37.         If you use the Norton Desktop instead of the Microsoft 
  38.         Program Manager, the miroWINTOOLS group (MWINTOOL.GRP) 
  39.         which the installation program generates may not be 
  40.         integrated in the Norton Desktop. To avoid this, start 
  41.         the Program Manager (PROGMAN.EXE) as a symbol before 
  42.         starting the installation program or integrate this 
  43.         group manually in the Norton "Quick Access" group after 
  44.         the installation. To do so, open the drive window containing 
  45.         the Windows directory and the "Quick Access" window 
  46.         and drag the MWINTOOL.GRP file from the drive directory 
  47.         window to the "Quick Access" window. Also refer to your 
  48.         Norton desktop manual.

  51. Information on Windows:

  53.         If the icons in one of your program groups are black (or you 
  54.         get an error message concerning this), there are too many icons 
  55.         in this group. Split this group up into smaller ones. This is 
  56.         due to Windows and occurs with 65k/16.7 mill color drivers.

  59. Information on miroTINT CONTROL:

  61.         With a monitor white point higher than 9900 kelvin, the palette
  62.         is not drawn correctly when selecting "US-Proofing". You must
  63.         click the down arrow button on the scrollbar to correct the palette.

  67. Information on the VESA-DPMS Powermanagment

  73.     Installation:
  74.     Please add the file vpm.exe in the autostart group by choosing 
  75.     "File-New-Program", thus the powersaving will be started automatically.
  76.     If you close the program the VESA-DPMS the powersaving won't be active
  77.     any longer but it can be restarted at any time.

  79.     Function:
  80.     There are different VESA-DPMS-POWERSAVE steps, which you can adjust 
  81.     by "OFF".

  83.     Standby-Mode:
  84.     This is the mode in which the monitor can be restarted immediately
  85.     also with less power. 
  86.  
  87.     Suspend-Mode:
  88.     In this mode the monitor needs only less energy and therefore the wake
  89.     up takes a little bit more time. 
  90.  
  91.     OFF-Mode:
  92.     In the off-mode the monitor is completely switched off. After the power-
  93.     saving got active you have to switch on the monitor by hand.
